How to Link My Xbox Account to Epic Games

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are trying to link your Microsoft account to your Epic Games account, but you must first unlink an Epic Games account from the Microsoft account in order to use the Epic Games account that you want. We suggest utilizing the Epic Games support page. There are steps on their website which show you how to complete these processes. Be sure to let us know the results!

My epic account is not showing that it is linked to xbox live but when I try to link it, it states my xbox live is already linked. Where do I see it linked in xbox live?

You should be able to sign into an Epic Account specifically with an Xbox Live profile from their site. From there, you can disassociate your account to services, and then link them to the account you'd like.
It might be easier, and more securely done with Epic Support services, who can make sure the process is done without locking out access to the other.
But this is an Epic support issue, and they would need to assist you specifically with any issues you have during that process.

I have recently downloaded Fortnite on my Xbox one and was automatically linked to my live account. I created an account with epic games and tried to link it to my xbox account and can't because of the initial download on my console was currently linked. Can you tell me how to unlinked this so I can link my epic account?

HI!
You need to unlink these random account in order to link the you-one account.
You can do this on Epic Games page.
